Website Migration Support

Practical help moving your website, email and domain settings to Eazyhosting.

Move hosting without losing track of the details

Changing hosting provider can involve more than copying files. A smooth migration also needs database exports, email planning, DNS timing, SSL checks and a rollback plan in case anything unexpected appears after launch.

Eazyhosting can help you understand the steps involved and prepare your move to our UK web hosting, WordPress hosting or VPS hosting services. For the full process, read our free website migration service guide.

Ask About a Migration

Migration checklist

  • Website files copied
  • Database exported and imported
  • Email accounts planned
  • DNS records reviewed
  • SSL checked after launch
  • Old hosting retained briefly as a fallback

A safer migration process

1. Review the current setup

Start by identifying your website platform, database type, email accounts, DNS records and any special requirements such as cron jobs, redirects or custom PHP settings.

2. Prepare the new hosting

Create the hosting package, copy files, import databases, set up mailboxes and install SSL before changing live DNS wherever possible.

3. Switch DNS carefully

Lower DNS TTLs where possible, update records at a quiet time and keep the old hosting active until you are confident visitors and email are reaching the new service.

Migration FAQs

Can you migrate WordPress websites?

Yes, WordPress sites can usually be moved by copying the files and database, updating configuration values if needed, and testing the site on the new hosting before DNS is switched.

What about email?

Email needs careful planning because old messages may be stored with your current provider. Before changing MX records, create the new mailboxes and decide whether messages need to be copied into the new accounts.

Can I transfer my domain at the same time?

You can, but it is often cleaner to separate the hosting migration from the domain transfer. The domain can continue pointing to the new hosting while the registrar transfer completes.
